Man, I feel like mold
It's prom night and I am lonely
Low and behold
She's walking over to me
This must be fake
My lip starts to shake
How does she know who I am?
And why does she give a damn about me

I've got two tickets to Iron Maiden, baby
Come with me Friday, don't say "maybe"
I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby, like you

Oh, yeah, dirtbag, no, she doesn't know what she's missin'
Oh, yeah, dirtbag, no, she doesn't know what she's missin'

Yung raw shot ay ganyan na talaga kaya kahit i widescreen ganun pa din yung headroom.

Madami din clips na masisira pag hindi naka widescreen, gaya nitong isa na kita yung mic.

Left: Orig Clip
Right: Cropped

(makukulangan kasi sa fillers pag tinanggal ko yung anamorphic layer :widescreen:
eh may mga kailangang clips na kailangan i crop)

A PEACEFUL PROTEST

A PEACEFUL PROTEST

I arrived at the vicinity at 8 in the morning it was still “not-so crowded” that time. The vendors were already present and were preparing goods to be sold. I was expecting a kind of protest that I usually on TV. A kind of protest which is violent and furious was not what I saw. Everything was peaceful. Everything was in order. It was like a carnival or a street party perhaps. People were using their freedom to speak out loud their inner thoughts against “Pork Barrel.” Old and young, men and women came to deliver their clear message to the nation. Abolish Pork Barrel. The streets were filled with color. Different people united for one cause. The event may happen again but it won’t be the same as what I witnessed. I am indeed blessed that I saw such historical event. I was moved by their advocacy. It made me more careful about my future. These politicians must be well monitored in order that we may know where our taxes go. We honestly pay what we must but in return we are robbed of our rights. I just can’t imagine when I saw that big tarpaulin where they posted a government contract that states that changing a flag pole at Luneta Grandstand would cost 7 million pesos.

THE THIRD CULTURE KID
(Click pictures to enlarge)

According to David Pollock "Third Culture Kids (TCKs) [children who spend a significant period of their developmental years in a culture outside their parent's passport culture(s) are not new, and they are not few. They are normal people with the usual struggles and pleasures of life. But because they have grown up with different experiences from those who have lived primarily in one culture, TCKs are sometimes seen as slightly strange by the people around them."

Up to this time, Filipinos seem to be inclined to their past. UST which was founded by Miguel de Benavides, is today's one of the top and oldest universities in the Philippines. It has remained loyal  to it's promise of providing quality education for Filipinos over the centuries even though it was founded by people who were once considered as our oppressors

The same is true with the San Agustin Church; a memorial that witnessed the peaks and valleys of the early Filipinos. The preservation of such marker signifies how Filipinos persisted with their faith in God and Christianity amid the repression of their colonizers.

Today's Filipino cuisine and delicacies even portray a mixture of culture. Considering Spain's top priorities in conquering the Southeast which was to take a lump share in spice trade and industry, it would reflect that Filipinos have somehow adapted their fine style and taste in food. This seemed evident by the manner they named delicacies and the way Filipinos made use of spices - variation has always been distinct.

In 1899 during American Colonization, Ice Creams were introduced to the Philippines by M.A. Clarke. During that time ice cream was a luxury food that only the elite could afford to eat, for ice cream was too expensive to buy since ice industry was still at a very ripe age at that time.

The Ayala Bridge is considered as one of the four main waterway bridges in Manila (the others are the Jones Bridge, Quezon Bridge, and MacArthur Bridge)that are historically identified with the Pasig River.(top)

"The strength of the nation lies in the well-being of the common man."

-Diosdado Macapagal

Rizal and Lapu-Lapu; the notable heroes of the Philippine history, they contributed a great impact to our culture. Statues and books may be destroyed, but the heroism that they have left us will never fade.

Whatever religion, social class, sector or what we belong to, we are united by blood. Blood of many unsung heroes who once fought for our freedom and identity.

The Filipino is like a bamboo.

He knows that he is not strong enough to withstand the onslaughts of superior forces.

And so he yields.

He bends his head gracefully with many loud protests.

When finally the wind got tired of blowing, the bamboo tree still stood in all its beauty and grace.
